12:18 King Jehoash of Judah collected all the sacred items that his ancestors Jehoshaphat, Jehoram, and Ahaziah, kings of Judah, had consecrated, as well as his own sacred items and all the gold that could be found in the treasuries of the Lord’s temple and the royal palace. He sent it all 1  to King Hazael of Syria, who then withdrew 2  from Jerusalem.

23:4 The king ordered Hilkiah the high priest, the high-ranking priests, 3  and the guards 4  to bring out of the Lord’s temple all the items that were used in the worship of 5  Baal, Asherah, and all the stars of the sky. 6  The king 7  burned them outside of Jerusalem in the terraces 8  of Kidron, and carried their ashes to Bethel. 9

23:8 He brought all the priests from the cities of Judah and ruined 10  the high places where the priests had offered sacrifices, from Geba to Beer Sheba. 11  He tore down the high place of the goat idols 12  situated at the entrance of the gate of Joshua, the city official, on the left side of the city gate.

The translation assumes an emendation to בָּמוֹת הַשְּׁעָרִים (bamot hashÿarim), “the high place of the goats” (that is, goat idols).
